While configuring your Swidget Devices for use with Control4, you may run into some issues. This article provides solutions to common problems encountered during the setup process.
Swidget SSID not broadcasting/Insert green light is not flashing
Remove Insert and replace in HOST device. Insert will remain in Discovery Mode for 5 minutes. You may also need to complete a factory reset if the Insert was already paired with the Swidget App or another system.
Paired Insert with Swidget App and Composer cannot find Insert
If you have already paired the Insert with the Swidget App, you will need to complete a factory reset before completing the Control4 Setup and Provisioning steps. Currently, the Inserts cannot be connected to both the Swidget App and Control4 simultaneously.
Swidget Provisioning Server is not working
Make sure you have the local control firmware (V1.4 or later) installed and that you are connected to the Swidget SSID. Insert firmware can be found at http://control4.swidget.com
Enable debug server
