Once your Swidget devices have been setup for Swidget Local, they can be connected to Home Assistant using the Swidget HACS integration.
Installing via HACS
- Make sure that you have installed HACS (https://hacs.xyz/) on your Home Assistant server.
- Navigate to HACS from the left menu.
- Select Integrations.
- Type Swidget in the search bar.
- Select Swidget from the results and click Download.
- Restart your Home Assistant server Settings - System - Restart.
Backup Method: Installing via Custom Repository
If Swidget does not appear in the search results, you can add it manually as a custom repository:
- Navigate to HACS from the left menu.
- Select Integrations.
- Select the ellipsis in the top right of the Integrations screen.
- Select Custom Repositories.
- Use the following link in the Repository field: https://github.com/michaelkkehoe/haswidget2
- Select Integration from the Category dropdown.
- Select the Swidget custom repository and select DOWNLOAD THIS REPOSITORY WITH HACS.
- Select Download.
- Restart your Home Assistant server Settings - System - Restart.

Hi Jeremy. I am interested in integrating an WP100PBA controller with Home Assistant to control my ERV.
I was wondering why local control of WP100PBA is not possible, and if there is any intention of allowing that in the future?
Agree with the above comment. I just installed a WP100PBA on my ERV and would love to integrate it with Home Assistant!
I am also disappointed the WP100PBA controller dont work with home assistant.
