The following article outlines how to connect your Swidget Wi-Fi products to your Wi-Fi network for local control and integration..
The following article pertains to all Swidget Wi-Fi Insert, with the exception of the Wi-Fi Control Module (WP100PBA) and Wi-Fi HD Camera Insert (WI007UWA).
Please ensure that your firmware is up to date by following this article.
1. To begin, Insert your Wi-Fi Insert into your wiring device. Once the Insert LED is flashing green you are ready to proceed.
Your Wi-Fi Insert is in Discovery Mode when it is flashing green. For security reasons, this mode will only be available for 5 minutes until it expires. To restart Discovery Mode, please remove your Insert and replace in your wiring device. For more information, please follow this article.
2. On your smart phone or tablet, navigate to the Wi-Fi Settings and connect to the network with Swidget in the name. Ex. Swidget-4c7525b2cc0c. Click Continue when prompted.
3. The Captive Wi-Fi should take you to swidget.info. If it does not, please open your web-browser and navigate to swidget.info.
4. Enter your network name and password in the SSID and Password fields. Optional: give your device a name.
5. Select Set Access Key and enter an Access Key.
6. Finally, select Enable HTTP (unencrypted) Access and select Provision.
7. Once completed, you will receive a Provision Successful message along with a summary of your device's information. Please keep a copy of this for future reference.
8. It is recommended that you set a DHCP mac address reservation using the Device Id / mac address and IP Address.
