No, Swidget does not have a GFCI outlet. Due to the complex mechanisms required in GFCI receptacles, there is insufficient volume in the Swidget Outlet to achieve GFCI protection with all the other features that are built in to our Outlets. However, Swidget can be used in a GFCI application by:
- Installing the Swidget Outlet in a circuit that is protected by use of a GFCI breaker, installed at the breaker panel.
- Installing a Swidget Outlet in a circuit that is protected by use of an installed GFCI outlet on the same circuit.
Always make sure that the wiring is done by a professional to ensure that your installation meets local building codes.
