20/40/60 CONTROL SWITCH
The Swidget 20/40/60 Control Switch was designed for use with ventilation products including your ERV/HRV Boost Mode, bathroom fans, and much more. There are a variety of ways this can be done, resulting in some potentially confusing control which this article will help to clarify.
SWITCH CONTROLS:
Manual Control - Note: A Swidget Insert is not required for normal Switch operation.
Automatic Insert Control - When paired with a Swidget Insert that can monitor Air Quality, Humidity, or Motion, the 20/40/60 Control Switch will automatically turn ON and OFF when any of the following conditions are met:
Air Quality: When indoor air quality declines to moderate, the switch will turn ON until air quality improves to good for 5 minutes, at which point the switch will turn OFF.
Humidity: When relative humidity increases 15% above the daily average, the switch will turn ON until the humidity declines to within 5% of the daily average for 5 minutes, at which point the switch will turn OFF.
Motion: When occupancy is sensed, the switch will turn ON until unoccupied for 5 minutes, at which point the switch will turn OFF.
NOTE: These automatic rules CANNOT be overridden unless Insert is paired to the Swidget app with a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection.
Other Control - Your ERV/HRV Boost Mode can be on for a variety of reasons even when your 20/40/60 Control Switch is OFF. Here are a few reasons why your ERV/HRV may be ON:
-
boost mode has been activated at another location that controls the ERV/HRV
-
there is an automatic schedule that runs boost mode for a pre-determined interval
