On rare occasions, you may be presented with a Insert error in the Swidget App. The error indicates that there is an issue with the Insert and can be seen in both the Devices view and the Rooms view as shown in the screenshots below. The banner error message (shown at the top of the screen), indicates that one of the Inserts has an error, and the highlighted temperature icon Indicates which specific Insert is affected.
Troubleshooting the Insert Error
- Remove the Insert from the host Device
- Ensure all of the castellations on the back of the Insert are clean and free of debris.
- Confirm that the pins within the Device are not depressed. You can run your fingers along the pins to check.
- Reinstall the Insert firmly as shown in the video below.
