This article outlines the steps required to pair a Swidget Z-Wave Insert with SmartThings or Aeotec Hubs. This article assumes that you already have a functioning SmartThings Hub and are familiar with it's use. Compatible Devices: Swidget Z-Wave products

This article applies to only Swidget Z-Wave Inserts and will not work for other Swidget products.

1. Enrol Swidget Edge Driver to your hub. To do follow this link and sign in to your Smartthings account: https://bestow-regional.api.smartthings.com/invite/RBlEwgwKyyME
   
2. Ensure that the Swidget Z-Wave Insert is installed in the host wiring device.
3. Open the SmartThings app
4. Select the plus sign (+) in the top right corner.
   
5. Select Scan Nearby
6. Put the Insert into pairing mode: Press and hold the small button on the front of the Z-Wave Insert for 5-10 seconds until the LED begins flashing blue or purple. Release the button. The Insert is now in pairing mode and SmartThings should detect it.
7. Once device is found, select Setup.
   
8. Verify device by entering the first 5 digits shown on the security card that came with your Swidget Insert or on the Swidget Insert.
   
9. It will take several minutes for your device to setup. Once completed, your Swidget Device should now be controllable from SmartThings.
