If a schedule you created never runs, or runs at the wrong time, work through these in order. The first is by far the most common, especially on a new setup where the schedule has never worked.
1. Check the site location and timezone
Schedules need a time reference. Without a location or timezone set for your site, the app has no way to know when to run them, so nothing happens.
- Open the Swidget app
- Go to Settings, then Manage Sites
- Select your site
- Tap Add Location and allow the app to use your location, or tap Add Timezone and choose your timezone from the list
Full steps are in How to set or change the timezone or location for your site. If the timezone was wrong rather than missing, schedules will have been running at unexpected times rather than not at all.
2. Check the schedule is pointed at the right device
Open the schedule and look at which device the Start step targets. If the device name or type is not the product you are trying to control, either the schedule was built against a different device, or the device has misidentified itself. See My device shows as the wrong type in the app.
3. Did you factory reset the device recently?
Schedules and automations do not survive a factory reset, and they are not restored when the device is paired again. They need to be created from scratch.
4. Still not running
If the timezone is right and manual control from the app works, remove the device from the app, pair it again from the beginning, and rebuild the schedule. Reinstalling the app on its own is not enough, because the setting lives with the device.
If none of that helps, contact us and tell us which device it is and what the schedule is meant to do.
