If your Swidget Dimmer is being detected as an outlet in the Swidget App, there may be debris in the Insert slot or on the castellations that connect the Insert to the Device, or the pins within the Dimmer may be stuck in a depressed position. Complete the following steps to resolve the misidentification.
- Ensure all of the castellations on the back of the Insert are clean and free of debris.
- Confirm that the pins within the Device are not depressed. You can run your fingers along the pins to check.
- Remove the Insert and reinstall firmly as shown in the video below.
