If you have forgotten the password for your Swidget app account, you can reset it yourself from the app in a few steps.
Before you start: your Swidget app account (used to control your devices) is separate from your swidget.com website account (used for orders). This reset is for the app account.
To reset your password:
- If you are already logged in but do not know your password, log out first: tap the settings gear icon in the bottom right corner, then tap Log Out at the bottom of the screen.
- On the login screen, tap Forgot password?
- Enter the email address associated with your Swidget account, then tap Send. A numeric code will be emailed to you (subject: "Swidget Account Verification Code").
- Enter the code, then enter your new password twice to confirm. Your password must be at least 8 characters.
- Tap Send. You can now log in with your new password.
If it does not work:
- If the code does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder and request a new one. See Didn't receive a confirmation code.
- If you received more than one code, use the most recent one.
- Avoid entering an incorrect code several times in a row, as this can temporarily stop the app from accepting codes for your account.
- If you recently created the account and never verified it, the reset may not complete. See I forgot my password but I have not verified my account, or the full guide Trouble Creating an Account, Verifying, or Signing In.
Still stuck? Contact support@swidget.com from the email on your account and we can help.
